How to make delicious Korean pork bone soup, enough for 2 or 3 servings. Full recipe is on my site: www.maangchi.com Makes 2-3 servings. Cooking time: 2 hours. Gamjatang (pork bone soup) is another Korean traditional nutritious dish. It's usually made with pork spine bones and vegetables, but I use pork neck bones in this recipe. Ingredients: Pork neck bones, onion, garlic, ginger, dried shiitake mushrooms, napa cabbage, potatoes, soy bean sprouts, Asian chives (buchu), green onions, perilla leaves, dried red chili pepper, soybean paste, hot pepper flakes, hot pepper paste, cooking wine, perilla seeds powder (deulkkae garu),fish sauce Directions: 1. Soak 2.5 lb (about 1 kg) of pork neck bones in cold water for 2 hours. 2. Boil water in a large pot. 3. Put ¼ of a medium sized napa cabbage (about 2-3 cups) into the boiling water and blanch it for a minute. 4. Rinse and drain the cabbage and put it in a bowl. 5. Tear each leaf lengthwise once or twice to make it bite size and set it aside. 6. Rinse pork neck bones in cold water and put them in boiling water with 4-5 slices of ginger (1 tbs). Cook for 7 minutes. 7. Rinse and strain the pork neck bones and put them in a large pot. *tip: when you rinse the pork bones, pick out any excessive fat 8. Pour 10 cups of water into the pot. 9. Add 1 medium size sliced onion, 1 tbs of sliced ginger, 2 tbs of soy bean paste, 1 dried red chili pepper (after removing the seeds), and 2 dried shiitake mushrooms to the pot. Boil it for 1. 5

Tortilla Soup
4.03 min. | 4.854839 user rating | 90447 views
Here in Southern California, Mexican food is as common as burgers and fries. But for a really authentic Mexican restaurant, head to Olvera Street in Downtown Los Angeles. During my visit to Olvera Street, I enjoyed some great Mexican recipes, from the crunchy beef taquitos at Cielito Lindo, to the soft carne asada tacos at La Noche Buena. I ended my visit with some homemade churros, dusted in cinnamon and sugar. They're the ultimate portable dessert! One of the dishes I enjoyed most was tortilla soup which can be made several ways. Today we are making Chicken Tortilla Soup. Now let's get started on this easy tortilla soup recipe. If you have leftover chicken or leftover turkey making mexican tortilla soup is a great way to use up your leftovers for a second meal. After roasting a chicken (and eating most of it), I've still got plenty of great meat I can peel off. Make sure you only get the meat. You don't want any chicken fat, which does not have much flavor. Cut into bite size pieces. You'll want roughly 2 cups of diced chicken. After I dice up the cooked chicken it's time to get the rest of the ingredients together. Here is the recipe: 2 cups diced cooked chicken 2 tablespoons butter 2 celery stalks, sliced 2 carrots, sliced Half an onion, chopped Small bunch of cilantro leaves, roughly chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1 tablespoon ground chili powder 15 ounce can tomato sauce 2 quarts

READ ME: Watch in HD. Khao poon (Lao: ເຂົ້າປຸ້ນ; also known as Laotian laksa and sometimes spelled khao bune or khao pun) is a popular type of spicy Laotian rice vermicelli soup from Laos that has spread to Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and the United States. It is a long-simmered soup most often made with pounded chicken, fish, or pork and seasoned with common Laotian ingredients such as fish sauce, lime leaves, galangal, garlic, shallots, and Laotian chillies. Two common versions of khao poon exist: khao poon nam phik (with coconut milk) and khao poon nam jaew (without coconut milk). Khao poon is typically made with rice vermicelli noodles ("sen khao poon"), but rice stick noodles can also be used. It is served with an assortment of shredded cabbage, carrots, and banana blossom along with bean sprouts, fresh mint, cilantro, lime, and dried red chillies. Now keep in mind as I always say in all my videos. Everyone cooks/makes recipes differently by altering adding/removing things they like/dislike. Optional toppings: Purple banana leaves, cilantro, green onions Thanks for watch and Enjoy! Song Title: Sao tor pa mhai : Maneemookda The language to this song is Northern Thai.

My mother's side of the family is from Mexico. My dad's side is from England. My mom and grandma taught me how to cook Mexican food. It's not the fancy schmancy stuff you see in restaurants. It's simple, yet amazingly delicious food (chicken mole, sopa, enchiladas, flour tortillas, menudo, salsa). Grandma was always cooking and always smiling. She'd hand me a fresh homemade tortilla right off the stove with a little butter on it. The smell and taste of the food is comforting to me and brings a smile to my face. PHO (Vietnamese Noodle Soup) Kimmy
2.72 min. | 4.160584 user rating | 117616 views
PHO Kimmy, California, Orange County, Westminster , "Little Saigon" USA ******************************** At San Jose State University, Executive Chef Jay Marshall uses the StockPot product at an Asian noodle soup bar where diners get to pick and choose from an array of rice noodles, vegetables, herbs and protein. Because there are plenty of pho shops near campus, the chef decided to use the product to offer a more non-traditional bowl of pho. "Our students love it,'' Marshall says. "People across the board eat it. It's not tied to any nationality.'' How pho came to be is a murky issue. While scholars, cooks and diners agree that pho was invented in the early part of the 20th century in northern Vietnam, no one is certain of the specifics. Pham recalls that in the late 1990s, when she first returned to Vietnam to do research, she found that there wasn't much written or documented on pho. In gathering oral histories from elders, she concluded that the noodle soup came from Hanoi and was influenced by both Chinese and French traditions. Last year pho's mysterious beginnings were debated and investigated at several events in Hanoi. At one seminar, the discussion focused on the word itself. Some proposed that "pho'' was a Vietnamese corruption of the French feu (fire), as in the classic boiled dinner pot-au-feu, which the French colonialists introduced to Vietnam. In a follow-up publication, seminar organizer Didier Corlou, executive chef of the Sofitel Métropole hotel in

How to Make the Best White Chili Ever!
8.33 min. | 4.3636365 user rating | 1172 views
When I first tasted 'white chili', I liked the concept very much and thought I could probably develop a great recipe. The recipe I got from a friend was very good, however, it called for grated Monterey Jack cheese, which from batch to batch was very unpredictable. Sometimes it melted smoothly and other times it was very stingy. There had to be a fix...and there was. Using cream cheese was the solution. It made it cheesy and creamy and the outcome is always the same...wonderful! This can also be a pantry meal as well, using home canned ground meat, canned beans, cream cheese powder and sour cream powder. Notes follow the recipe. BEST WHITE CHILI EVER 2 large onions, diced 5 large cloves garlic, minced 1 pound ground meat (beef, chicken or turkey) 1 tablespoon olive oil (or bacon drippings) 1 tablespoon cumin dash celery seed ½ teaspoon ground coriander 2 teaspoons dried Mexican oregano, crushed (regular oregano will work, it's just not as strong) red pepper or cayenne pepper sauce, to your taste 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 3 cans chicken broth 3 cans white beans (I like 2 of navy, one of either great northern or cannellini) 1 8 ounce bar of cream cheese (reduced fat works fine) 2 cups sour cream (reduced fat works fine) 2 can diced green chilies 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro salt and pepper to taste In a large soup pot, saute' onions for about 3 minutes in olive oil. Add the garlic and stir another 2 minutes. Add the ground meat to the pot and stir into the onion

You'll Need : 1 pound ground beef/hamburger meat 1 large can (or 2 small cans) mushrooms 1 small can tomato sauce 1 package of Onion Soup Mix 1 bell pepper 1 medium Onion 1/2 Tblsp Basil 1/2 Tblsp Dried Cilantro (in the spice section of your grocery store) 2 tsp salt 1 tsp ground pepper This turned out absolutely delicious ! It will yield about 20 servings (depending on the size of your meat pies). Ghetto Sourdough : 1 cup softened butter 1 teaspoon ground pepper 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoons salt 1 cup of milk with 2 tablespoons of white vinegar (mixed together) 3 cups all purpose flour Add the butter to the bowl, then add first 2 cups of flour with baking soda & salt added to the first cup. Mix with electric mixer, slowly mix in the milk mixture, add in ground pepper and last cup of flour. Use hands to mix thoroughly. Then chill. Use for hot pockets, meat pies, enpunadas, etc... Bake at 350 for about 15 to 20 minutes.
